Trick-or-Treating Tips Part 2

Even if you are staying in for Halloween and only plan on giving out candy, there are still plenty of ways to stay prepared for the spooky holiday. The pathway to your front door should be clear of any debris or tripping hazards, and jack-o-lanterns should be placed a safe distance away. Consider using flameless candles in your pumpkins; if you do decide to use a traditional candle, never leave it unattended.

Individually wrapped candies are the most common treats to give out. You can decide to give out non-edible goodies as an alternative; some children have food allergies or just might prefer to opt out of candy. Some great alternatives are stickers, glow sticks, trading cards, bubbles, or other fun knickknacks.

Halloween can be a fun experience for everyone, and we should all take steps to ensure the festivities are safe for all.
