Avoid Amazon Scams

In a time when a lot of our shopping is done online, particularly on Amazon, it is important to be aware of scammers in this niche. One of your most important assets is your information, and scam-mers will do anything to get ahold of it. They may try to call, text, or email you in order to trick you into providing personal information.

A common tactic to look out for is a “fraud investigation.” Scammers will claim that your Amazon account has been flagged for fraudulent activity, and they will ask you to verify your information. Thankfully, there are some different tips
and tricks to learn how to avoid these scams. 1) Amazon will never ask you to share any sensitive personal information, passwords, or verification codes over the phone. 2) You can always check Amazon’s Message Center to review authentic emails from Amazon. 3) You can also check or change your settings under the Your Account page on Amazon directly. 4) Customer Service is readily available 24/7 for any questions you may have regarding your account.
